7 Moves for Sexy Sculpted Triceps

There are a few main areas of the body most women consider “trouble spots.”  The under arms, or the triceps muscles are one of them.  I sure wish I had a dollar for every time a woman asked me how to tone their arms, particularly the under arms where it jiggles.  I do have a workout specifically for toning the triceps using a slow pace and light weights.

This workout comes right from my Barre Class at Equinox except the last one which I sometimes do in my Boot Camp style classes.

Do all 7 of these with some regularity, and you’ll be seeing a difference in the shape and definition of your triceps.

If you’re new this type of toning (slow, controlled, endurance), don’t do all of these in one workout.  Split them up until you can do them all with proper form.

They may look easy because I’m using light dumbbells (3 to 5 lbs), but keeping the slow pace and holding at the top of each rep is fa-ti-guing!

You must maintain proper form, so don’t go too heavy.  If you do, you’ll wind up using your neck too much and then other muscles will kick in which can reduce the effectiveness of targeting the triceps.  For a workout like this, 5lbs is heavy.  Start with 1 or 2 lbs. then work your way up.

Need some new options for light dumbbells?  I like the colorful options here.

Here’s another great workout that also targets the triceps and jiggly under arms.  And, be sure to check out all the other workouts, tips and tutorials on my video page.
